My long weekend

This long weekend passed so quickly. And now its oredi sunday. Gosh... its bk to work tmr again. Sometimes i just wish tt i can be really positive abt my work, and that i would love to work 7 days a week... den i guess i will b happier. haha!

Anyway my gf bought me a tshirt from agnes b, on top of tt i bought a polo tee for myself! It does feel gd to be pampered, be it by myself or by my gf.



My long weekend wasn't too much of an adventure. A rather relaxing one spent wif the loved one. We had this award presentation on Thur after work. I was presented the Silver award for my sales performance. Finaly i feel a sense of appreciation after working for more than 2 yrs. Met my gf n off we went to Suntec to get my new handphone!!!



Went to Vivo City after that. Was just shopping ard and bought some snacks from Diaso. Had our dinner at this Japanese restaurant. I can't rem the name of that place. They serve delicious Yakitoti! But when the bill came, i thought they brought me the wrong one.. haha! I didn't realise that we ate so much. Unfortunately i forgot to bring my cam n darling's sis had brought hers to Japan! So no pics...

Actually we planned to spend our Good Friday at Sentosa. Was suppose to find out more abt sentosa on thur nite when we got home, however my gf feel aslp halfway msning wif me. So no work was done, coz i was bz playing ard wif my new fone. We woke up rather late the next morning, n we decided to abandon our Sentosa trip idea.
Again to went to VIVO CITY coz SHE was bugging me for cupcakes! i duno where the hell i can find cupcakes for her (she wouldn't allow me to replace the cupcakes wif muffin. Thou i tink they r the same!) and so thankfully we saw this place tt sell cupcakes the day b4 when we were at Vivo. And town is getting boring. We can nv tink of wat to eat in town. Its always the same place.. n we got so sick of it. Most importantly, the Ger wans to shop, and Vivo City is her new shopping place!

We had our dinner rather early to avoid the dinner crowd. But still we gotta que for abt 15mins at Dian Xiao Er. Yummy! The skin of the roasted duck is so crispy loh. Of coz after dinner she cont wif her shopping rendevous! And finally we settled down at Corduroy. So she was all so excited abt her cupcakes, but in the end..... they suck...



Wanted to chk out at Graze on Saturday, but they were fully booked and as for the bar, they r holding a private function. So we settled at One Rochester. Lousy service. And the Ger was mad tt they dun serve any deserts! After that we went down to Chinatown to hv Chang Cheng Zhou! Great supper, Great company!

I wish my brothers will ...

It feels gd to slp late on a wed morning. Oh yes im at home online blogging now on a Wed afternoon. Which means im not at work, which oso means im on MC! I love nuaing at home, unfortunately my gf is at work. So im on msn now keeping her company.

I was toking to my mother over lunch just now...

Mum: wat do u wana get for ur brother on his birthday?
Me: give him ang pow loh.
Mum: ohh.. was tinking mayb u can buy him a new wallet. coz the wallet tt u bought him few yrs ago spoil oredi. So long oredi n he still using it.
Me: k loh, den i buy wallet for him.
Mum: Yah if not u giv him money, he wil jus kp . oso wun buy a nice wallet for himself
Me: haha! ok sinz he has grown up, hw abt a leather wallet for him?
Mum: You mus ask him mah.
Me: Wa lau, he oso dun tok. Ask oredi he oso wun answer me....
Mum: sigh...

I really envy ppl who are really close wif their siblings. There are ppl whom ive seen even going out clubbings wif their brothers, shopping wif their sisters... I wish i m as close to my brothers as well. Well i still do tok to my elder bro, but theres realli not much opportunity or topic to tok abt. Sometimes when we r at home, we dun even say a single word to one another, n we'll walk pass one another as if we are transparent. Seriously i dun quite like tis feeling. Sometimes i wish i can tok to my brothers abt my unhappiness at work, about the happy tings that happend to me, or even jus to hv a drink together outside? Or maybe we can go shopping at agnes b together? All these nv happen, n i doubt it wil ever happen. And as for my younger brother, its even worse. I dun even rem when was the laz time i tok to him. Or rather when did we ever hold a proper conversation together. He is always v quiet at home. But when he is outside, i can see him joking wif lik my cousins, aunties, even his frens. However when any of us in the family ask him anyting, he would jus ignore us. I really can't help but to feel tt he hates this family. Or did we do anyting wrong? I really wish we can jus hold a proper conversation, joking and laughing together jus lik hw we were when we were young....

If only i can turn bk time, i would wana be closer to my 2 brothers.....

Way back into Love

Finally this unbearable March has come to an end. It was so torturing without any public holidays nor can i jus lik keng a day of mc to rest at home. It was a really bz mth and quite an impt one to me i would say. So im glad its all over. Watever the results may be, I'll leave that to God's will. Ive tried my best i guess.

Woohoo~~ Its the begining of a brand new mth, which oso means PAYDAY!! i love payday! And tis mth my baby pamper me wif tis tshirt from agnes b. So in order to help her earn more pts, i got another green polo tee. New clothes! i love new clothes! Thanks baby! She got herself quite a few new set of clothes too and i tink she's happy!

Oh yah i was telling my gf that i so need to blog about our experience at Akashi @ Paragon. The price is far too steep for the food they serve! The variety is so damn limited. Even Ichiban Boshi is so much better. The service sux, totally impatient. Well i must say that the sashimi there is really fresh but i guess i would rather hv it at Sun and Moon at Wheellock Place. They serve really gd Sashimi and there's more variety. Most importantly the price is just abt the same. So im not goin Akashi anymore!!!!

We headed down to Cityhall jus nw after golf and we bought tis from Citylink



Bought her tis box of Chocolates from Sins the other day, but she didn't pick the one tt i was tinking of!!




Is it just me or do anybody out there feel the same way as i do? Everytime when i listen to this song, Way Back into Love, i'll tink about the times when i 1st dated my gf. I love asking her question n teasing her about the early part of our relationship. I love thinking about how we 1st met at this education fair, how i kept her company over the fone when she's all alone at nite, how we got together even though we're miles apart, how we had our 1st kiss, how i spend 3/4 of my savings jus to see her, how we spend 3 weeks in aust together, how we cried during our down times, how to fought and end up hugging each other tightly, how i play with her hair, how she tried to perm my hair lik PCK, how she lie on my shoulder, how i held her hand n put on tt ring on her finger, how we took the plane together for the 1st time, how we laze around together, how we cuddle up together on the bed, how we picked each other up from work, how i nv fail to send her a sms every morning when i go to work, how i introduced her to my friends, how i tease and scare her, how we plan for our future, how to drew out our floorplan for our future house together, how to watch a movie together, how we played silly games and laugh our heads off, how we watch a sunset together, how we save and b thrifty during our poor days, how we splurge on one another when we are better off now.... how i still will choose the same path even if i can turn bk time... its all so beautiful... And our 4th year will be soon to come..... Thats goin to be another beautiful memory...

Phantom of the Opera

We finally watched Phantom of the Opera yest! Look at the tix.. Our seat! it's 2nd row from the stage..hahaa i have to admit it's too near.... till i can see the nostril of the actors/actress. The musical yest was magnificent! it's worth my 13 yrs of waiting. My fav are Meg Giry and the Phantom (Brad Little).. haha cos Meg Girly ( Nadia Komazec) is so much prettier den Christine...haa actually i prefer the Christine played by Sarah Brightman... U will noe wat i mean if u heard Sarah Brightman's.

My gf asked me a Qn which i really duno how to ans.. She asked " the phantom only appear lk a few scene why he got the most applaud?" I reckon is bcos he's the phantom? Phantom of the opera? the lead? hahaha... My gf is so cute!
Oh I've to comment that the orchestra was awesome! I'm v impressed by Vanessa Scammell, the conductor... It reminds me of my dream to become a conductor when i was sec 4, cos my newly hired band conductor Mr Lim is such a loser! haa She did a great job. The musical wouldnt be a success w/o a such an outstanding orchastra. After curtain down we went forward to watch the orchastra play. I reckon they were happy to see so many pple went forward cheer and applaud for them. Well some kuku will not realise the existence of the orchastra as they were playing understand the stage.

Im feeling Good!

It was a compulsory after work event on Thursday arranged by the Company to attend this free seminar. So the usual responses will be "Wa lau Sian!", "Huh... cannot mit bf/gf..", "Really must go meh?!", "Can claim cab fare?!". My initial response was like Sian man.. and was planning to Chao halfway. But in the end i actually stayed thruout the 3 hr talk without any complains. And my initial plan to sneak off halfway totally disappeared.

I would say that Adam Khoo is indeed an excellent speaker. And his talk is really interesting and motivating. Its so unlike those boring seminars tt can mk me yawn like 789 times in 1 hr. He got everybody involve and participate during the talk. He told us alot of true stories about his students and some of them even appeared in the papers before. The method that he teaches you how to succeed in life and attain ur goal is really fantastic. There was a special discount tt nite at $1800 for the course for the 1st 15 ppl that signed up. Well, indeed i was hesitating, coz the price seem reasonable. However i backed out coz im having too much committment nw, like for my studies? And if i have the spare cash in the future, i would wana sign up for the course tog wif my gf!

Indeed the talk kept me in high spirits even until now. I tried out the tactics that he thought on my customers and i realised in a way or another it really worked. Although i did not manage to close the deal for tis particular customer, but i can feel that i manage to talk some sense into him. I did not feel agitated like hw i would b in the past, in fact i felt great even after he rejected my offer.

I hope tis spirit will continue and hopefully its not just a moment of joy...

Oh btw, just watch Music and Lyrics. Its a nice show. Worth spending 2 hrs and $19 on it. I like the song in the show that Hugh Grant sang tog wif Drew Barrymore, Way back into love... And i also like the song that Hugh Grant sang during Cora's concert for Drew Barrymore, Don't write me off... Fantastic!!

Gong Xi Fa Cai

Theres so much that had happend these 2 weeks. Ok n nw its time to have a quick recap.

Just before the CNY mood sets in, it was the LOVE-IS-IN-THE-AIR day. Yes, u're rite, Valentine's Day. And for us, we nv tk tis day jus lik a normal day. Coz i would believe that there's always time that couples do take one another for granted and i dun believe that it is everyday a swt day for all the couples out der. Though to me Valentine's Day doesn't mean that it is a day for u to treat ur loved one extremely well, but it is a day for me to appreciate and remember all the gd tings about my gf and of coz to feel blessed to have her wif me till now. As it was a working day, so the day time was nothing much of a diff than a normal wkday. I got ppl to deliver flowers to her house but she was out! So i gotta get her sis to collect the bouquet on behalf instead.

After work, we met up and hv dinner at Chijmes, Esmirada. I guess we didn't really like the kinda food they served. The ambience and service was fantastic. I would say that overall was still ok.




CNY eve

I had my reunion dinner at Owen Seafood Restaurant at Turf City. The food was fantastic! In fact none of the dish in the menu was dissapointing. The salted egg crab is their famous dish and it live to the name! You jus can't stop putting one more in ur mouth... Thinking abt it mks me drool. and after dinner was the same yearly routine to the temple at Waterloo street to pray for luck, health and everyting gd for the coming new year.

CNY Day 1

Every year we would get up of bed early in the morning to bai nian wif my parents. And in return we got our Ang baos! Then we will set off as a family to my Nai Nai house as the 1st stop of the day. Collect more more ang baos! Snack abit, comparing the pineapple tarts that my mum and my aunt made. Its weird that they dun really taste the same though they used the same receipe.. After all the snacking we will head down to the temple where my Ye Ye is "staying" to pray again. He has passed away since i was 16 and this practice has been goin on sinz den. So usually it wil take 1hr plus before to set off for the 2nd stop, which will be my grandma house (Mother's side). Its alwaz a love and hate feeling when i hv to go der every yr. And the onli ting gd is that il get more ang baos there. Other than that, its really quite torturing to stay there. Coz all the Aunties and even my grandma will jus start their yearly question... "How come no bf?!" So il jus smile in silence. And my cousins will just smile at me cheekily. So once i manage to escape from all those nosey aunties, i would join my cousins for lunch and then it wil b another question. "Hows you and your gf?". Ok at least ders someting for me to answer...

CNY Day 2

Finally i can meet my gf and we went over to Darren house for a mini reunion dinner. She prepared lotsa food and we had a sumptous steamboat and "Loh Hei"!! I love to loh hei!

23-02-07 (Friday)

Rite after work i took a bus bk to Balestier to have a gathering wif my Primary Sch frens. I missed 1 bus and i waited for 30 mins for the next one to come!!! And when the bus came to Orchard, that is when it drove me crazy. The traffic was practically stagnant for at least 15mins when it came to Ngee Ann City. I decided to tk a short nap sinz the traffic is not moving. Den when i woke up, guess wat? Im still at Ngee Ann City!! The exact same location. Wa lau! Really nv even move an inch loh! In the end it took me abt 1hr30mins to rch balestier! GOSH!

We has the famous Yu Tou Lu at Whampoa market. Haha! I dun really fancy it but its the catching up part that is impt. It was so noisy at the market wif some new yr singing machiam Qi Yue Ge Tai loh. So we decided to head down to Quality Hotel as Lijun was saying that the Lounge was gd. It turn out so so to me onli thou. Went over to my colleague's house for "Black Jack". And turn out i lost a few $. But i guess its still quite ok, its CNY man! Hw can dun gamble?!

24-02-07 (Saturday)

I woke up at 5.45am! Yes it is 5.45am!! Darren and Evon came over to fetch me to bugis for the fortune telling. Darling came down shortly after we reach. I would say she's really accurate and waking up that early was all worthwhile. Its not too convinient to reveal the details here. All i could say is that to be weary of the ppl who seems to care for you most at work. Coz they mite turn out to be the greattest back stabber of all. I guess its going to be a tough route ahead at work and yet i can't give up. I really wish im a real jing gang man! After that we went bk home to sleep.

Headed down to marina sqr wif my gf after our beauty slp. We had dinner at this Jap restaurant, Ministry of Food. wahahaha!! The food was good! The ramen was tasty! As it was our 3yr 7mth Anniversary (Darling u forget rite!), we decided to hv a lomantic nite. haha! The Atrium at Marina Mandarin. The vocalist was damn power loh. The 2 violinist and the pianist turn out to be the man's, who played the double bass, daughters. ISn't this cool?! To perform in a family? They played really well and its really worth spending a few hrs there relaxing, listening to soothing music that will really calm ur heart.

A new "Hello" for year 2007

Today's golf lesson was good. I tink i suck at iron whereas my woods are much better. It feels gd to perspire, noeing that some fats have been burned away! Though golf doesn't involve in any running, but it sure is tiring. Or maybe age is catching up...

I've been having the urge of buying a new fone recently. I really tink its time that i change a new one. I've been a loyal nokia supporter all these while. And tis time round, i hope to have a change. I would prefer a flip fone tis time round. I was surfing the net tis afternoon and there's a few that caught my eye. However all of them are not Perfect as they dun suit my criteria 100%.



Motorola ROKR E6
I like the outlook and the colour of the fone. i do have the love and hate feeling for touchscreen fones. Its cool but not very user friendly. And for an impatient freak lik me, i mite smash the fone when i can't type out the sms smoothly. Lastly its not a flip fone.




O2 XDA Stealth
I always wanted to get a O2 fone just that i hesitate as most of the fones are touchscreen functioned. And for tis its much better wif a decent keypad. Most importantly... its black! However the resale value for O2 fone can get rather pathetic. And tis is a slide fone.. i prefer a flip one loh..



Nokia N76
Oh yeah... so tis is a flip fone. Its black!!! Sounds perfect rite? But damn it loh, its nokia again! Am i destined to own a Nokia fone forever!!!

Any suggestions? Any nice flipped fone to recommend?

The Princess Bdae

Wow, it has been more than a mth sinz laz entry on fourteeninetyone. I wouldn't say that we are too bz to update, coz we do have the time. We're just plain lazy. I subscribed to mobtv to watch those local serial that i'll miss due to my work hectic schedule. So i've been watching those drama online recently. I tink the price is rather reasonable. But if you had nv fancy local drama, den drop the idea.

We have been doing our cny shopping these 2 weeks. Bought lots of clothes and mainly from CKtang, thanks to all the vouchers that i've been earning. It just nv seem that it'll be finish no matter hw i spend. Brought new yr clothes for my gf from Mango and Zara. And im sure she's quite happy with her new clothes. Ha!

Oh yeah, that lounge singer was awesome. Her voice is damn power. For those who like to chill out, i would strongly reccomend Marina Mandarin lobby lounge. A glass of white wine accompanied by a love one listening to the awesome vocal wif a great pianist... wat more can u ask for...?

Goodbye Evil 2006

I reckon 2006 is not my year. The whole year hasn't been smooth and especially im in the sales industry. My job was greatly affected by the year. Everyting hasn't been good. From career to family... everyting seems to be going downhill. Sometimes i jusr wonder hw i manage to pull myself out from all those drowning shits... And now we wil b approaching Year 2007 in jus a few hours time. I pray that tis is gonna b a better year wher i can earn bk what i lost, be it on monetery or emotionally.

For the mistakes that ive done, i apologize sincerly to the ppl that ive hurt in the past one year. I wil try to be a better person.

For the love that has been given to me, i thank God for the existance of these ppl in my life. I will tresure the gd tings i have. And wil learn not to tk tings for granted.

To my family, just to say i love all of you. And i realised how impt a family is. How impt it is to have a complete family. During the super down times, it is the family members who will be there to give you all the support. And they will never ever give up no matter how difficult and hurting it is.

The Man in the family who always potrait the image as the man wif few words. He is the Man who carrys all the load on his back to support the family for so many years. He seems really strong n stern. However when he shed his tears, i noe it hasn't been easy for him all these years too.

The Woman who takes care of everything in the house. From the dirt on the shevles to ironing the Armani shirt in my wardrobe. She cooks fantastically and she doesn't wan the family to eat repeated food every week. She comes out wif someting new every now and then. She works at home 24/7. No annual leave, no medica leave, no bonus. She's the first to wake up every morning. She works from day till nite without any complains before. And when she cries, it really break my heart...

The Young Man who doesn't quite tok to the family. I noe you do care in your heart. I saw it when he hugged you that day and how you cried in front of everybody. No matter how diff it is, you dun have to worry abt getting into the Uni. Coz ur family will mk sure that u will enter one no matter wat.

The Elder Man who cares alot for the family. He dotes on his siblings since young. No matter wat you had done, the words you said and the tings you did that hurt us really deeply... we still love you. Coz we all have the same blood flowing in our body. Coz we share the same surname and Coz we came out from the same woman. I pray that you be fine. And the you that ive always know will be back soon...

The Future Woman who tries her best to blend into our family. And finally she did. All of us love you too. I hope the thunder storm wil b over soon and that you will be well no matter what happen. Be it if you wil share the same surname as us or not in the future, u will alwaz have a place in our hearts.

Lastly to the Love of my life who tolerated all my nonsense for the past 3 yrs. Putting up wif my bad temper and being patient towards me. Thank you for all that you had done for me. Thank you for those moments that i just needed to feel your presences. And you never fail to be there. Sometimes there are sometings that i can't tel you for now. N all i need is to feel ur presences coz that will ease the pain in my heart. Thank you for showering my wif all your love and all the happy moments that u hv given me. I love you....

We are goin to watch the Phantom of the Opera!

This morning i woke up at 7am just to register at the jap cultural sch to take up japanese lesson. Tog w me were my sis, cousin and E. The Queue was madness! We were the number 190th person in Q. Anyway we gonna start lesson in Jan. I'm excited!

Yest i went shopping spree with E. haaa i bought sooo many things! including LEGGINGs!!! I still cant believe i bought dat. I used to think dat legging is some fashion disaster, ah lian fashion.But after watching/reading In nu wang and numerous fashion mag.. i am convinced dat i really need at least pair of leggings. I wanna be IN too! haaaa i even got a matching dress and belt to go w my leggings! anyway pic of me in them will be out soon.

Well boost juice definitely makes me miss australia so much...esp the fact dat my uncle just came back frm Bris attending my cousin graduating. My mum cant stop talking abt it, saying dat i shouldnt come to spore blah blah blah.... It makes me feel so awful dat i stop my studies 1/2 way in aust. And of cos it makes me feel unwanted here in spore... Sigh.. yeah it was 1 of my greatest regret dat i din complete my studies in Aust. Wasting my parents' $ etc... well wat's done cannot be undone... After completing my degree in spore.. my parents r not giving up on me. haaa they said i can go back to aust to complete my masters! haaaa dat's only i pass my degree.....

Stepping into December

Its oredi the start of December. And Xmas is approaching. But i duno why it doesn't feel xmasy tis year. I dun like the deco at Orchard Rd. It feels like the deco got from bad to worse every year. I hope i can spend the next Xmas at a country that snows! That will be great!

Well, ever sinz we r bk from Japan, job has been really hectic. Well... I dun wish to tok much abt it.

Just got back from golf and gym. Sunday used to be my slping day. But now it has become my work out day. haha! i guess i need to do more exercise to get rid of that tummy that has been wif me for quite a while. Guess its time to let you go.... haha! I seem to have alot to blog abt but out of a sudden my mind jus went blank. Im feeling rather slpy nw after a long day. But its going to be dinner time, so i guess i better not go tk a nap, if not i mite not b able to wake up.

Updates on our Japan Trip!

Day 1
Departed at Changi airport Teminal 1 taking JAL to Japan!. Had breakfast at Mac b4 boarding the plane.. The flight was delayed for 2hrs...*Poutz* So we arrived in Japan at abt 6pm..

Approaching the costly December

We've been bk from Japan for almost a month, and ive been working my butt off to earn bk the moolahs that ive spent. Ive been too busy to post the pics that we took in Japan. It was an awesome trip for sure. And i wish i dun have to come bk to work anymore. The weather was great unlike tis little sunny, humid island here. Today's weather can really cook me alive!

Have been spending time shopping for our xmas presents. And ive finally chose what i wan for xmas. Its going to be this tiff and co bracelet and a gucci belt. Darling wanted to get a LV messenger bag for me, but i guess im not really a bag person. So i decided to get someting else. Well tts goin to cost quite a bomb to her. But of coz she wouldn't let me off easily. With the amt tt she's gona spend on my present, Im oredi mentally or rather finacially prepared for HER present.



Oh yeah tts what she chose and thats what she's getting. We've booked a room at Marina Madarin to spend out Xmas at and most likely we'll be going Outback steakhouse for our Xmas dinner.

So there, a big hole will be burnt. And on top of the Xmas expenses, my sweet pal's birthday is coming. My colleague's wedding is coming too. So my moolah jus keep flowing away. haha!

I totally regret for not using my own cash for buying the shares. Ive earn about $2.5K so far and i guess it will still go up! All these winnings wil jus go bk to my bloody CPF a/c. Ok the next time im gonna use hard cash!

Goodbye Singapore

we are at the airport rite now. We will be leving for tokyo in 30mins time and here we are at the free internet access corner bidding farewell to our lovely singapore for a week. Our gate, C20 is open! and we are ready to go!

New look

Yeah finally ive found time to revamp our blog. I know its been a long time since i first said that i wana giv tis blog a new look. Ive been real busy. As u can see tis blog is hardly updated as the onli ting that i wana do after each day of work, is to slp.

Last fri we went to bangkok. have posted up the pics on the previous entry. Well, our main intention is jus to pray, so it was jus a one nite stay over. Met up wif Darren and Evon who have been there since monday. We stayed at the same hotel, n they are jus lik our tour guides. haha! We went to the four face buddha temple to pray once we checked in the hotel. And next Evon brought us to tis shopping mall, where my gf goes wild at the Naraya boutique. At nite we went to china town to pamper ourselves wif sharksfin and bird nest. ma ma mia~~~

Im down wif flu and a bad throat few days ago, n now im in the midst of recovering. I skipped golf lesson today so that i can hv a gd rest at home. As we'll b flying off tmr morning to Tokyo!!! Its goin to b a one week trip and i gotta recover now!! My baggage is halfway packed and after tis i gotta continue wif my packing. We gonna hv fun in japan.. so hang in there for more beautiful pics that will be posted up soon!!!!
