** Warning **
There will be tonnes of pics loaded, so loading time mite take abit longer than usual!!!
1ST DAY
AT CHANGI AIRPORT TERMINAL 2
We were walking pass this Vodka Counter which is promoting their Absolut Disco at the point of time. We were curious and decided to check out as the packaging of the vodka was really eye catching. So this promoter approached us and say if we can dance on the stage for 5 secs, we will be rewarded wif 3 miniature vodka each. And of coz the greedy us dance our hearts out for that 5 secs to get the vodka. hahaha! I can't believe i did that in the middle of nowhere at the departure hall!!
ARRIVING AT TAIPEI
After spending a few hours on the plane, we finally reach Taipei! So after checking in our hotel, we took a train to Shilin nite market. And guess wat? My gf bought a few bags of stuff just on the 1st nite. And i went bk to the hotel empty handed. I can't deny that Taipei is more of a shopping paradise for gers. It was late so we just took a cab bk to our hotel.
2ND DAY
LUNCH @ TAMAGO YA
We had our lunch the next day at this egg theme restaurant. The layout is really cute and the food wasn't too bad. Its just a 5min walking distance from the hotel.
BREEZE CENTER
Before we set off to Breeze Center, we were at Zhongxiao East Rd trying to find this one and only dalkis shop in Taipei, but we did not manage to find it. In the end we gave up and head to Breeze Center. We had our little short break at Godiva. They served delicious drinks and desserts there. But a pity we did not try the desserts as we were still quite full. It was shopping time rite after that, and i bought the 1st thing from Taipei, a pair of shoes from Paul Smith. At nite, we went to Wu Fen Pu and then to Raohe nite market. I bought 3 jackets at wu fen pu and my gf bought like 4 dresses there and all these 4 dresses are from the same shop!
3RD DAY
LUNCH @ XIMENDING
SHIN KONG MITSUKOSHI, NYNY & TAIPEI 101
We spend almost the whole day at these 3 places. There were so much to buy esp at Hands Tailung, its a shop that sells all Japanese products! I bought some hair products for myself and my brother. And not forgeting those beauty products for my mum and sis-in-law. They shd open one in Singapore too! And i think my gf and her mum will go crazy there!
4TH DAY
JIUFEN
Check out this Sushi Express at Ximending if you are a sushi lover. All plates are going at 30NT (approx S$1.38). And they do not categorize sashimi or sushi! All going at the same price! Its super fresh and wats more, they even have this gigantic scallop that cost the same price as all the other plates. Its totally worth it. Right after lunch we head dwn to Taipei train station. And i think their train system sux big time. We waited for the train for like almost 2 hrs and i almost went bonkers. So we try to keep ourselves entertain at the platform and kept pestering the staffs there asking when will the train be arriving. So finally it came, and it was packed like shit! We manage to grab a seat halfway thru the journey. I tink 1 hr later we reach at Guifang station. We were suppose to take a bus up to Jiufen, but i guess we rather pay a little bit more to enjoy the comfort and the fasinating view up the mountain. I almost faint when we reach, coz i saw these neverending stairs that we need to climb in order to go to those shops that sells the traditional products and local delicacies. Damn. I swear that my legs were shivering when i finally made it up there!! Anyway other than the view and chilling breeze, its really nothing fantastic there. So if i were to come to Taipei again, i'll never wana go Jiufen again!
5TH DAY
XIMENDING & DANSHUI
We woke up kinda late everyday, so we only start our day with lunch and no brkfast. The complimentary brkfast provided by the hotel is totally useless to us. haha! So on the 5th day we went to this Coca Cola Lounge to fill our stomach. And after that we head down to Danshui. We did not make it to the Fisherman Whraf, coz we were kinda late and after walking the "lao jie" there, we dun really feel like taking a ferry to the Fisherman Whraf anymore.
PS BUBU
This is a car themed restaurant. Really beautiful layout, great for phototaking. And according to the boss, their restaurant has been featured in various magazines and TV shows, eg, liu xin hua yuan. And lotsa local and international celebraties patronize the restaurant pretty often. The boss is really frenly, we kinda had a long talk and a smoking session with her outside the restaurant when we were abt to leave. So do patronize here, its worth it. Just take a cab from Shipai MRT station. It doesn't cost too much.
THE LAST DAY
XIMENDING
Had lunch and last minute shopping here before heading bk to the hotel to wait for the freego bus to pick us up to the airport.
AT THE AIRPORT AND ON THE PLANE BACK
